They say that after studying abroad, your life is over. If that’s really true, then I’m in a lot of trouble and now that I have graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University, young adult life without Spanish class every day is going to be not fun. AT ALL. But I refuse to accept that my life is over, and in an attempt to not have my life be only about making money (or how little money I will make) and having my Spanish whittle away, EspanYork chronicles my escapades of trying to find pieces of Spain to keep me in touch with the country I have learned to love so much and to keep my desires to go back to Madrid right now at bay (well, kind of) in between my return trips AND preserve my language skills (or at least try to).
Se dice que, después de estudiar en el extranjero, tu vida ya se ha acabado. Si es la verdad, estoy en muchos problemas y en la vida a partir de una recién licenciada de Barnard College, Universidad de Columbia, será horrorosa. Niego que mi vida ya haya terminado, y para intentar no tener una vida basada en ganar dinero (o pensar en qué poco gano) y perder todo mi castellano, Españork habla de mis escapadas de intentar a encontrar piezas en España para quedarme familiar con el país que a mí me encanta muchísimo y para aliviar mi deseo fuerte de volver a Madrid ahora (bueno, un poco) entre mis viajes de nuevo y preservar mi dominio en el idioma (o por lo menos intentarlo).
